We are celebrating a rather quiet evening at home with some "bubbly". It's all ready for toasting in this fancy~schmancy balancing bottle holder that my daddy made from gorgeous maple wood. That's right, folks! He worked out the design and cut, smoothed, and polished it himself! Nifty, eh?

After coming home from our Christmas Eve service where Rae sang in the cherub choir, we ate pizza, listened to carols, and opened our presents from each other.





We are so thankful for all the wonderful blessings we can enjoy, especially the perfect gift of the Lord Jesus!

Our humble mountain tree (that Mama B cut and dragged down the snowy hill all by herself! But don't be very impressed; I nearly croaked from the exertion.)

The vintage Hallmark USS Enterprise and shuttle came from Grampy B (a devoted Trekkie). And the glam fish was a gift from a friend and former employer. Isn't she a cutie? Thanks, Dr. H!

On a more serious note: the dear little vintage train from Daddy's childhood. Too old to chug, but so festive, and the girls just love trains!

I Got the Blues

But in this case, that's a very good thing! I am so thrilled to be chosen one of the winners of Linda's sweet inspiration kit giveaway over at Robin's Egg Blues! Just look at all these goodies! There are ribbons galore, beautiful beads, glittering papers, and even a darling little nest with a tiny spotted egg. And of course, the crowning glory ~ the graceful vintage aqua swan!

A Hunting We Will Go
