You may have noticed the haiku about the hydrangea heads, Michele. When I started researching hairdos to match the image in my mind, I learned that P.T. Barnum hired ladies to work in his circus with hair that was like moss. They were known as moss-haired girls from then on. I think "mop" works equally as well.
An anniversary present from my mom and dad. This wreath was made by my mother with gorgeous hydrangeas from her garden. Daddy provided the garden.
