I'm no photographer (I'll leave that to Mr. G.), but I just had to share some pictures of our tasty supper with you. When I was "working" ;) my favorite lunch was a vegetarian sandwich like this from the little nearby café.
Here's how I recreated it:
Spread mayo and pesto on fresh ciabatta rolls. Layer provolone cheese, sautéed portobello mushrooms, marinated artichoke hearts, and just~picked organic spinach from the garden.

Serve to a hungry family outside in the grass on a warm summer evening.
Yummy! I love picnics! And what is your little darling holding in the last pic - it looks like okra??
ReplyDeleteMy Mamma always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything!"

Well, whoever said I was nice?!
I'm so glad you and the babes like to eat fungus and such! Yes, it is (kinda/sorta) pretty. (cough cough)If I can't have meat on my bread, at least give me peanut butter! I love my protein! :~P
But I love you all, just the same! :~*
Yummmmm!! That looks delicious! I have recently decided that my favorite food is fancy sandwiches...I think I can add this one to my list : )
ReplyDeleteOh Michele, Your Mom is a hoot! I think the sandwich looks good, I do enjoy my protein too though. I think it's great that the girls like it :) Have a blessed day!
